How to play XO XL

It's noughts and crosses, but on a much bigger grid and you don't stop at the first three in a row. Take turns tapping any empty square to place your mark. Every time your placement makes a run of three or more of your marks you score: three in a row is 3 points, four is 5, five is 8, and longer lines score even more. Line up two runs through a single square at once and you bag a LINKED bonus on top. You keep playing until the whole board is full, and whoever has the most points wins.

Because you only ever score the extra value a move adds, there's no double-counting — your score always matches the lines you've actually built. That makes it a proper little strategy game: extend your own lines, block your opponent's, and hunt for squares that cross two lines at once.

Vs the computer or two players

Play one-player against the CPU on Easy, Normal or Hard, or pass the phone for a two-player game. Pick a board size from a classic 3×3 or 5×5, through 7×7 and 10×10, up to a sprawling 13×13. There's nothing to install and no account.
